I'm entering my first tournament in August so I thought i'd keep track of my army painting progress, maybe post some tips.
So here are the beginnings of my 40k Lamenter's army (for the 500pt tournament weekend). I've used the army painter dip on this guy but with highlights and to be honest I may just stick to the washes, the army painter stuff is good for my bretonnian peasants (60 archers can be a ball ache to paint and I only really want to spend time on the command group).
So with the rest of the squad I will go back to washes. By the way I have taken a great deal of inspiration from Aventines Zen40k whose Lamenters are simply brilliant.

ReplyDeleteAh, another Lamenter. There aren't enough of us around. I shall watch this closely.
ReplyDeleteThe smoke was made from a paperclip and stuffing used for crafts/packing (i raided my gf's craft box for it). I drilled holes in the launcher and glued the paperclips in, thenI just wrapped the stuffing round it and used superglue to glue as I wrapped it. After I used matt varnish (dullcote) so hopefully it will be quite durable. Plan get the whole squad finished and posted up in the next few days
